A distraught Myanmar woman collapsed over the weekend after queuing overnight outside the embassy in Singapore only to find her name missed off the list of eligible voters.

“Now, I am 35 years old,” she tells the camera. “This is my first time voting. I was really excited. I didn’t sleep the whole night. I explained to my boss that I was queuing here… Now I am really sad.”

Due to lengthy queues outside the embassy, many would-be voters were forced to wait overnight.

Volunteers were passing out food and water.

Nway Oo Wai said she had waited since 2am and had nothing to eat.
